Building Community at ONE Water Street

Building Community ONE Water Street Style

Kelowna, B.C. (July 17, 2018): In addition to providing the kind of high-density housing Kelowna sorely needs, ONE Water Street will also provide a social and economic boost to downtown Kelowna by creating a whole new neighbourhood of its own and enhancing the sense of community, literally from the ground-up.

With construction underway on both the East and West Towers, owners can already start imagining what it will be like to move into their homes – which will be ready by spring 2021 in the East Tower, and early 2022 in the West Tower.

Designed to Meet the Neighbours

ONE Water Street’s design and location has community in mind including:

• There are planned spaces for folks to connect, including The Bench, our 1.3-acre resort-inspired outdoor amenities area created exclusively for you and your neighbours. The Bench has two swimming pools (a quiet pool and a more animated one as well) and a generously-sized hot tub, plus a pickleball court, an outdoor patio with tables and couches for dining and entertainment, barbecue and picnic areas and fire pit enclaves.

• Bringing your pet to the dog park on “The Bench”. Nothing breaks the ice better than having someone new meet your dog.

• Meeting some of your neighbours in the large private fully-equipped health club with yoga/Pilates/dance/stretch studios. Compare schedules and make plans to workout together.

• Having friends over to your place for a pot luck or the hockey game – or maybe use ONE Water Street’s multi-purpose entertainment room. No need to drive if you enjoy a glass or two of Okanagan wine. Take the elevator home.

“Once completed, ONE Water Street will generate a sense of Urban Okanagan community for more than 400 homeowners,” says Henry Bereznicki, managing partner of North American Development Group (NADG), which is building ONE Water Street with development partner Kerkhoff Construction.

“ONE Water Street will bring together people from the Okanagan, the West Coast and elsewhere, some who know each other well and other like-minded folks who will be meeting for the first time and are likely to become friends and true neighbours.

“For many of the downsizers who are buying here to retire in the Okanagan, they’re starting a whole new phase of their lives,” Bereznicki adds. “We’re excited to be part of their dream by creating a whole new downtown community. Their lifestyle will include enjoying lake views from their oversized balconies, nearby shopping, entertainment, dining and of course Okanagan Lake is walking distance away. It’s clear why ONE Water Street is seen as Kelowna’s only true urban, lake view high-rise development and has become Kelowna’s best-seller.”

ONE Water Street’s two-bedroom lake view homes – some with dens and flex areas – range from the high $700,000’s to just under $1 million. In just nine months, more than 360 homes valued at $200 million have been sold at ONE Water Street. 150 of those homes are in the West Tower and were purchased on the opening weekend of sales in late May.

For a limited time, pre-construction pricing on all West Tower homes continues to be offered on all homes including the Reserve Collection.
